While it is true that there are benefits to circumcision, it is possible for the procedure to lead to all kinds of problems and  circumcision complications. In the United States, it is a fairly common procedure that is often performed when the child is born. However, this doesn’t mean that it is perfect and successful every time and there may be some circumcision complications.

In fact, botched circumcisions are a problem throughout the world. In some countries, circumcision is a religious and cultural practice and is often done in less than perfect or downright dangerous conditions. Once the circumcision is botched, is there hope? The answer is, yes there is.

Medically speaking, when circumcision complications happens, a botched circumcision needs to be addressed as soon as possible. This is because a bad circumcision can cause infections and cause the penis not to function properly. These issues need to be resolved through surgery and any other method deemed necessary by your physician or urologist.

 

Cosmetic Procedures

Another thing that can be done to fix circumcision complications like a botched circumcision is to rebuild the foreskin and other parts of the penis that have been taken away during the procedure. Each case is different, however, and some people need to have the foreskin rebuilt for more than just cosmetic reasons. Talk with your doctor to determine your options.
