Side Effects

Testosterone can have effects on the body. Some of the most common symptoms of too much testosterone can be excess body hair, acne, balding, decrease breast size, and increased muscle mass.
When testosterone is in the body it’s converted into estrogen. Too much testosterone (resulting in too much estrogen) can lead to breast cancer. A study of 814 women with low sexual desire looked to a testosterone patch to help ignite their libidio. Four of the women involved in this study developed breast cancer. The researchers are not able to conclude is this is because of the testosterone intake, but conclusions can be made that above average hormone levels can result in cancer.
